I just finished translating a segment of words by SeniorMaster Chang. I
hope what he said will help you guys as much as it helped me. I would like
to share what he said to everyone. I just hope my translation is good and
that the message is passed through. Please let me know what you guys think
and if you have any new thoughts.

Ever since everyone started the path of cultivation of Tao and did Heaven’s biddings, God would perform miracles as a response to our dedication.

I remembered one time during February at Canada we had to setup a family temple for our tao member. Prior to the establishment of the family temple, snow was falling and the weather was cold. The forecast was grim with snowstorm that entire day. Everyone was worried that the road will be blocked or no one would arrive to assist with the event.

The day had arrived to open the family temple, yet, the sun broke through the clouds. The forecast of snowstorm did not occur and Tao members arrived on time. The weather was nice and warm; however, once everything was completed and everyone started to leave, the clouds arrived and covered the sky. That night, the snowstorm arrived and covered the road with beautiful white snow.

I believed that if you are truly dedicated in the path of cultivation/ tao, our Holy Mother would watch over us and would assist us with our daily life. Similar stories were told by Tao members on how Holy Mother watched over us. These stories had to be experienced by yourself so that you could wholehearted believe in. Otherwise, many people would say it’s a coincidence or have doubt.

Our actions are recorded or watched over by Heavenly Mother. When we do God’s biddings, God will protect us at every moment. This we have to understand and sincerely appreciate.

Senior Master Chang's Word (Continued)

Translated by James Chih

Another translation of Senior Master Chang's word. Again, I hope the translation
will help others as much as it helped me. I will have a bio of Senior Master
Chang once I have a book about him.

What a wonderful event that’s scheduled for us in this beautiful autumn weather. Next season will be winter, than spring, and summer follows. What obstacles did everyone encounter and did everyone overcome? More importantly, how?

I arrived at Taiwan for 50 years and observed the establishment of Tao throughout the world (such as Europe, United States, Austria, Canada, and Japan). Tao members continued to increase and I am gladded for each and everyone that cultivated Tao. Through the cultivation process of Tao, I noticed advancement of inner beauty/virtue (道德) of our Tao members, which I am overjoyed. Yet, our society as a whole moved in the opposite direction. Hope of a peaceful society seemed impossible and out of reach due to natural disasters that occurred frequently and deadlier such as drought, flood, and famine; to the unrest of our society with suicide, homicide, rape, and theft. What happened? Even though the living standard of 1936 could not be compared to today, the self conscience of moral and ethics (良心) were strong. The living standards increased drastically at Taiwan (and most of the world), so should the moral and ethical values right? But the reality stated otherwise.

However, do not be discouraged or be disappointed by the current situation of the society; moreover, do not be discouraged with current obstacles presented (or that you are going through right now) to you because Holy Mother (上天老母) is watching over us. The actions taken to solve a problem should not deviate from the virtuous doctrine (道的宗旨).

Everyone, please avoid your focus on what is tangible/material/visible (相) because these caused nothing but sorrow.

I hope you would not waver (and persist without fail) to continue the practicing of the Great Tao and stayed focus on the objective of cultivation, focus on the end result. No matter how difficult the situation/environment presented itself, we must hold steadfast and overcome. That is how a person of talent (人才) is distinguished from others.

For example, to create a tool such as a sword, the iron ore had to be melted in a hot furnace, taken out to be hammered, bathed in cold water, put back into the furnace again, hammered into the correct shape, and the process repeats. An ore became a useful tool. Similarly, to cultivate Tao and as a Tao member of the White Era, we must endure the hardship given to us by the society (family, friends, relationships, careers…etc). Stick to the moral values such as benevolence, kindness, and sincerity. Do not cave in. Strive on! Under any difficult circumstances, we have to be sincere on not let the situation dictate our heart and especially not let it direct our life.

I hope everyone the best
