Hot & Spicy Tofu

A traditional Chinese homemade dish served with a hot & spicy, warm blessing, taste.

Serves 2-4
Ingredients: Tofu (1 box), 1 fresh tomato or 1/2 can of diced tomato, 6-8 straw mushrooms, Edamame (10-12 baby soybeans in the pod) and celery.
Sauce: salt, soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, black pepper, and crushed red pepper (or any hot peppers).
Steps:
[1] Cut celery and straw mushrooms into thin small pieces. Peel and remove the baby soybeans out from the pod.
[2] Pan-frying the diced Tofu with oil for couple minutes until they turn into brown color.
[3] Add in diced celeries in the pan and cook for another 2 minutes. Stirring gently.
[4] Add in the rest of vegetables including baby soybeans, diced tomatoes and straw mushrooms. Stirring gently again.
[5] Pour in some water and add in the sauce, which is mixed with soy sauce, salt, cornstarch, peppers, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper. Cook the hot & spicy tofu at medium heat for 5-8 minutes with the cover closed. Wait until Tofu has nearly absorbed the sauce.
[6] Serve the Tofu with rice and any additional green vegetables on top.
