Holy etiquette represents spiritual rules for sacred conduct. Think of holy etiquette not as strict rules but as loving spiritual procedures for honoring God in a holy setting. Ultimately, after practicing spiritual etiquette at a high level and accumulating merits from the practices, one can then start to transcend from each practice into the divine essence of the heart. God always understands what is in your heart. However, what becomes holy in the heart cannot be accomplished without well intended sacred practices. Therefore, holy obedience to spiritual etiquette greatly helps you to keep on the path toward enlightenment.

The following holy procedures should be observed during a holy ceremony in the temple.

• Purify your mind and call for the presence of God to come within you.

• Respect the holy spirits who came to join in the ceremony and acknowledge their presence.

• Appreciate and honor the presence of the temple Masters and Teachers.

• Show respect to the other participants and offer silent blessings to them.

• Remain silence and solemn during the ceremony.

• Gentlemen should stand on the left side with ladies standing on the right side.
